BACKSTORY
In an unprecedented turn of events in 2025, Iran launched a barrage of missiles onto Israel, causing mass destruction and casualties on both sides. In an attempt to control the conflict, US President Donald Trump ordered a covert strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.
In retaliation, Iran launched a series of missiles against US military bases in Qatar. Fears of escalation surged, turning into utter panic in the region. Our phones did not stop ringing as rumors of airspace closures began to spread.
Sorry. Closed.
How can you fly an airplane in and out of a country if the airspace is closed? Short answer is you can't. What's the alternative? That's when we get creative and find solutions for your clients.
Sorry. We're Out.
When demand goes up, so do the prices. And in these cases, it's often combined with a shortage of options. In many instances, operators would even stop answering calls.
Sorry. Grounded.
In fear of getting locked out, many operators wouldn't want to risk flying out and having planes stranded somewhere. It carries too much uncertainty, cost, and many consider it unsafe.
STARTED
As soon as the news hit, many in the region scrambled to their airline's website to find a seat out. A lucky few made the cut, but most didn't. One of our clients in Dubai found us online and contacted us for an immediate jet out of the region, in fear for his family.
We took the matter at hand, and immediately got to work, knowing it wouldn't be an easy feat. With airspace closure looming, permits were denied after just a few minutes, in total desperation of our clients.
THE SOLUTION
One of our specialists went off script and was able to find an operator who was willing to fly out. The challenge was that the flight needed to happen within the next few hours, on account of the uncertain atmosphere at that time. The other challenge was that the plane was located in neighboring country Oman.
The solution was to get ground transportation for a family of 6 across the border, just in time for their allocated take off slot.

THE RESULT
Safety is only appreciated when you feel it's slipping away from you, especially when children are involved. The family made it safely to Oman and on time for their flight, and flew to their home country in south-east Asia.
